Adjust the compressor outlet pressure to 3 Bar (or medium setting) using the regulator on the compressor.

Pull up and rotate red knob (B) until the pressure shown on the gauge (C) is 3 Bar.

Diluting the Paint/Material suitable for Spraying
  1. Establish the correct thinner for the material i.e. thinner, white spirit, water etc.
  2. Thoroughly mix the material to the consistency similar to cooking oil.
  3. You can check the correct consistency either by using a Viscosity Cup or by placing a spatula into the material, count the drips before the drips stop, there should be 3 or 4 drips.  If there are more drips the paint is too thin and if there are fewer drips then the paint is too thick.

The paint will be to the correct consistency if, when spraying a vertical surface it will not drip and will have the correct type of finish.
Make sure the surface to paint is clean and dry

Filter the paint using a nylon stocking.

Test the Spray Gun by spraying a piece of cardboard, to test the jet and shape of the spray fan.

Adjust the shape of the jet by rotating the material adjusting knob (D) at the back of the spray gun.

Adjust the air pressure if necessary.

Start Spraying,

The Spray Gun must be kept perpendicular to the surface to be sprayed, and kept to a distance of between 15 to 20 cm.

The direction of the spray gun must be kept to a straight line.

If the gun is too near to the surface the paint will drip, if it is too far the finish will be poor.

Correct

Incorrect

The paint is sprayed unevenly on the surface giving a poor and irregular finish.

The paint is sprayed evenly on the surface giving a good and regular finish.

Clean the Spray Gun, immediately, at the end of the job
  • Drain all the paint from the pot safely and ecologically
  • Fill with half a glass of the correct solvent.
  • Spray the solvent onto some old cardboard or paper.
  • Dismantle & clean the nozzle, material needle, and all accessible parts of the spray gun from any paint residues.
  • Clean the pot
  • Dry & reassemble the spray gun.
