Our comprehensive range of silicone free compressed air and gas filtration products for use in almost every industrial environment.
By using in-house research and development facilities we create high quality filtration products which satisfy the increasing demands of today’s sophisticated market. Within our standard range of threaded filters we offer 10 models with connections from 1/2" to 3" (A60-A2400) offering flow capacities up to 1412 scfm (40m3/min). These models incorporate the unique ‘push on’ filter element, which reduces maintenance time and allows the filter to be located in the most confined places.
These filters are manufactured using die-cast aluminum housings for pressure ratings up to 16 barg (232 psig). They are a proven success due to the high efficiency filter construction enabling a low pressure drop and ensuring low operating costs. All filter bodies are coated with blue polyester finish to eliminate corrosion.
Technical
Notes
High efficiency filter with low pressure drop ensure a low operating cost.
Manufactured from cast aluminium.
Anti-corrosion protection for high endurance in heavy working condition.
Quick cartridge exchange with integrated seals.
Threaded connections are BSP parallel to ISO7/1.
Filter element end caps are colour coded. Direction of air flow, inside to out, through filter element (excluding DF).
Activated carbon filters must not operate in oil saturated conditions and will not remove certain types of gases including carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
Grade CF elements must be changed periodically to suit application but at least every 6 months.
Activated carbon towers for larger applications are available to order. Please refer to activated carbon tower leaflet.
Float operated automatic drain valves for models AEF, AHF & AQF. Manual drain valves on models ACF & APF.
Threaded filters and filter elements are suitable for use with mineral and synthetic oils plus oil free compressed air applications.
Threaded filters and filter elements are silicone free.
Optional extras include wall mounting kits & differential pressure gauges.
For larger flow application please refer to the flanged filter leaflet.
Filters
AQF
CERAMIC FILTER
Due to its great resistance to heat and wear, this is the ideal first protection stage of the compressed air system. It is suitable for intercepting a large quantity of solid and liquid particles up to 3 micron in diameter, with minimal drop in pressure.
The filter element is made of layers of glass microfiber and layers of non-woven polyester.
APF
PRE-FILTER
Prefilter with the ability to intercept solid and liquid particles up to 1 micron.
Has the same features as the AQF series, the only difference being the greater degree of filtration. It is intended as a prefilter to the AHF series, to avoid premature clogging of the desoiling filter.
AEF
COALESCING FILTER
Interception filter suitable for hard and oil particles up to 0,1 micron in diameter.
This filter, by means of impact, interception and coalescing principles, causes the submicronic liquid particles, which strain through the element from the inside, to collide with each other, forming microdroplets which will drip at the bottom of the filter housing.
The element itself is made of a layer of borosilicate fiber-layer supported by two inner and outer stainless steal structures.
AHF
HIGH EFFICIENCY COALESCING FILTER
Coalescing filter suitable for Solid and oil particles up to 0.01 micron in diameter. It is similar to the AEF series, from which it differs only by the degree of filtration. Air passing through this filter is practically 99.99% oil free; therefore it is suitable for use in installations where high levels of purity is essential.
It is utilized after a dryer as a desoiling filter and is the optimal prefilter for the ACF series.
ACF
ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER
There are many applications which require air not only free of micro impurities, but also odors and vapors.
The activated carbon filter, through the absorption process, is able to attract all remaining odors and vapors left after desoiling, and attach them to the active carbon particles.
The ACF filter must always be preceded by the AEF or AHF filter.
The filtering element is made of a bed of activated carbon covered by a fiber coating, kept in place by an inside and outside stainless steel wall.
