ABAC ROTARY SCREW COMPRESSOR
AIR END
The ABAC air end features the latest version asymmetric
profile rotors which are of patented design. The new air end gives
higher output per kW of power consumed. The rotors rotate at lower
speeds with lower tip velocity and are mounted on over capacity bearings
to achieve a longer operating life.
INSTALLATION
Each ABAC ‘VT’ compressor is supplied ready for immediate
installation, complete with all accessories including lubricant. The
careful design of the cabinet provides dual compressed air outlets and
top mounted
air inlet/outlet vents so that the compressor can be positioned easily.
The ‘VT’ compressor is extremely compact and requires the minimum of
space.
ACCESSIBILITY
The ‘VT’ compressor is fitted with easily removable front, top and
back panels. The careful positioning of the normal service components
within one area of the cabinet provides ease of maintenance and
therefore minimum downtime.
CLEAN INLET AIR
The cabinet on the ‘VT’ compressor is designed to offer protection
from the ingress of dirt onto the components within the compressor and
also to provide better quality inlet air for compression. This is
achieved by a sealed cabinet that draws ambient air into the compressor
through a top mounted panel filter. The air for compression then enters
a high efficiency air inlet filter for further cleaning. This facility
provides far fewer problems with blocking of coolers etc, and ultimately
better quality compressed air.
LOW POWER
CONSUMPTION
The ‘VT’ compressor is equipped with automatic dual control which
allows the compressor to operate in either on load/off load mode or stop/start mode according to the air demand.
This allows very economical operation during all types of load conditions.
CONTROL AND
COMMAND PANEL
The very comprehensive standard controls offered on the ‘VT’
compressor provide fault diagnosis and safety warnings via the ‘check
control’ panel and also service requirements are illustrated on the
maintenance indicator.
The following instrumentation is
provided:
- emergency stop button
- check control panel
- reset button
- hours run counter
- on/off switch
- emergency warning light
- compressor air pressure gauge
- working air pressure gauge
- maintenance indicator
- temperature gauge/thermostat
STAR/DELTA
STARTER
The starter within the ‘VT’ compressor is manufactured from high
quality components in accordance with CEE standards. Low voltage control
circuit, double insulated main and auxiliary circuit, phase relay
(direction of rotation protection) and IP55 enclosure are all standard
providing high levels of safety and reliability.
FOUR STAGE
AIR/OIL SEPARATION
The ‘VT’ compressor benefits from a very efficient
air/oil separation facility. Two stages of primary separation and
a further two stages of filtration result in very high quality
compressed air with oil carry over of only 3 mg/m3. In addition low
pressure losses are achieved resulting from a larger capacity reservoir
and a greater filter cartridge surface area.
